Membrane switch is a whole made of multi-layer film bonding. It can be seen that it has several layers of film to be bonded. At present, the application of double-sided adhesive as the main part of the manufacturing process of membrane switches has shown a downward trend. The spacer layer has been gradually replaced by a prefabricated isolation layer of "PET double-sided adhesive". The bonding of the panel and the bottom layer is adopted The method of screen printing latex to obtain the adhesive layer is showing a development trend.

The screen printing latex has the same viscosity as the double-sided self-adhesive, but the cost is low, the bonding process does not produce bubbles, and the surface is smooth. Especially in the application of the panel layer, it can be controlled by the area graphics of the printed latex, avoiding the trouble of removing the glue layer at the window and punching parts.

Membrane switches use different raw materials and different temperature resistance. The most commonly used raw materials are PET and PC.

PET raw material: good elasticity, about 150° after strong folding, temperature resistance ±80°, embossing life of more than 1 million times, F series raw materials are not very transparent and can prevent scratches (F150, F200 texture film is commonly used for graphic overlay ), EBG series of raw materials have good transparency, it is suitable for membrane keypads with transparent windows(EBG130, EBG180 clear film) suitable for keyboard embossing.

PC raw materials: After strong folding, the elasticity is less than about 90°, the temperature resistance is ±40°, and the life of compression is about 200,000 times. There are two classifications: 1. Smooth PC with good transparency, 2. Matt PC with not transparent, Anti-scratch (commonly used for membrane panels) not suitable for keyboard embossing.
