The characteristics of flat and embossed type membrane switches

The raw material for the production of membrane switches is a very elastic film (PET polyester film). This material can be printed with different characters to indicate different keys of the membrane switch. It has excellent features such as waterproof, dustproof, conflict resistance, and non-fading. Now it is widely used in household appliances, communication equipment, instrumentation, industrial control equipment,medical equipment and other fields.

The printing of membrane switches can be divided into two types, namely front printing and back printing, which are respectively applied to different materials and types of membrane panels. According to the different shapes of membrane switches, they can be generally divided into two categories, flat and embossed.

The most common is the flat membrane switch. Different colors are used to distinguish the functions and uses of different buttons. Customers can choose different membrane materials and adhesives according to the needs of the device, but it has no tactile function.

Embossed membrane switch is a new type of switch, which is more beautiful in design and more practical than the flat membrane keypad. Its manufacturing process is based on the general plane membrane keyboard, and is made by a special pressing mold. After the membrane panel is heated and pressed, the key part is slightly raised to form a three-dimensional key. The embossed membrane switch can accurately qualitatively position each button, making it easier for people to identify, making the operator's tactile touch more sensitive, and improving the effect of product appearance decoration.
